Dave Dombrowski: Boston Red Sox Names Ex-Detroit Tigers General Manager as Team's President.

Detroit Tigers let go of Dave Dombrowski and promote Al Avila to GM. Its about time the Detroit Tigers were suffering with such a butt hole of a GM.

Maybe they can make some moves to get to the top. Tigers are 3 games out so they still have a little bit of a chance but next season will tell what Al is made of.

Its a scary job to have to report to Mike Illitch though.

This year is going to be exciting in baseball, especially for the Detroit Tigers  the new 3rd baseman wants the team that traded him to go 0-162 this season. Ian Kinsler who use to play for the Texas Rangers didn't like that the Rangers traded him so therefore wants the Rangers to go 0-162.

If your a Tigers fan I would say you should be pissed to know Ian Kinsler didn't want to be traded.

She is back guys! Kate Upton was spotted with Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander. Not that its a big deal just thought all you Detroit Tiger fans would like to know. Maybe this year is the year for the Detroit Tigers, I guess we will see on opening day.

But we should be all happy for JV, Kate Upton is a good looking women and shes the bomb in a Tigers uniform.

Jim Leyland retired this morning its good to see the guy go. He needed to leave the Detroit Tigers because the way he managed the team just sucked. He didn't have much gas left in the tank to do much. If you can't win with some of the best hitters and starting pitchers in baseball why are you even in the game.

Good luck to Leyland and lets start winning some world series next year. What do you say to that?

Tigers win game one in the Boston series 3-0. It’s going to be a good series and even better when Miguel Cabrera comes back into the lineup. Not that they need him but the tigers probably miss his bat The Tigers and the Red Soxs are both in the playoff race so every game counts but hope the Tigers come out on top of the series.

Now is the best time for baseball because every game counts and its time for playoff baseball.

The Tigers look to keep rolling as they open a four-game set vs. the Twins with Rick Porcello on the hill tonight at 7:08 ET

Tigers win 8-3 Tigers bats bash three home runs and the Tigers sweep the Atlanta Braves.

So yesterday at the Tigers game Denard Robinson former U of M quarterback threw the first pitch and it was an awful throw.

Now there have been some bad first pitches but who would have thought from a quarterback that the first pitch would be awful. Good thing that he is going to try and be a wide receiver in the NFL, because it would be fumble city for this kid.

The Detroit Tigers shot themselves in the foot I believe with not signing Delmon Young. He was hot in the post season but now he signed with the Phillies. What is up with Detroit sports these days, but on a good note I am still pumped that pitchers and catchers report in like 19 days I think.

A guy that puts up numbers like Delmon Young did last year deserves another look at. I wonder who the Detroit Tigers have their eye on. Detroit Tigers baseball is just around the corner. Eat em' up Tigers!

Torii Hunter Is A Detroit Tiger

Now when Torii Hunter wanted to find his future employer he landed in the hands of the Detroit Tigers. The 37 year old outfielder signed a 2 year 26 million deal with the Detroit Tigers.

It looks like Jim Leyland might have missed a ring, but not to worry because the Detroit Tigers signed Jim Leyland to a one year contract. Jim Leyland has the most career wins among active managers.

Jim Leyland will be sticking around for the 2013 and be the first Tigers manager in more than a century to win three American pennants.

It must be hard for the Yankees to be missing their captain at shortstop he has played the game and the position the best for years.

A- Rod Being Benched

Now isn't this something A-Rod and Nick Swisher are being benched for game 3. A-Rod is 3 for 26 so far in the playoffs.

The Yankees are in a slump and when they think that it couldn't get any worse the Detroit Tigers put their Cy Young winner on the mound how about that?


The Yankees are looking at this game as it can get bad and it probably will with having Verlander on the mound. They have faced Justin 3 times this year but have only beaten him once that is a .3333% rate and that's kind of the only good news New York Yankees have.

They are batting .192 in the American League Championship Series vs. the Tigers, scoring in one of 21 innings. They have five everyday players hitting below .200, including All-Star second baseman Robinson Cano, who's hitless in a postseason record 26 at-bats in a row.
So just look at it this way tonight facing Verlander, who is 2-0 with a 0.56 ERA this postseason, striking out 22 in 16 innings, with a shutout in his last start. Even through he is human it will be hard for the Yankees to score on him and that can be a winning situation as long as they don't put Valerde in like they did in game 1. 

If you didn't see last night's ALCS game one it was one heck of a roller coaster ride for the Detroit Tigers, Valverde throw a crap game letting the New York Yankee score 4 runs to tie a blow out that was happening  to the Yankees.

Last night was a big night for the Detroit Tigers and Miguel Cabrera has he won the triple crown, the first triple in 45 years.
The Detroit Tigers slugger's milestone became official on Wednesday, the final day of the regular season, when Curtis Granderson - the only man who could challenge Cabrera's homer tally - was removed from the New York Yankees' game against the Boston Red Sox. The Triple Crown is a rare feat of a batter leading his league in batting average, homers and runs batted in (RBIs). Cabrera topped the American League with a .330 batting average, 44 home runs and 139 RBIs, becoming the first Triple Crown winner in the major leagues since Boston's Carl Yastrzemski in 1967. Yastrzemski also stressed the importance of team success in a statement he issued on Wednesday, after finally handing over the title of 'last man to win the Triple Crown'.
