Detroit Tigers Bring Back Jim Leyland For 2013 Season

Jim Leyland will be sticking around for the 2013 and be the first Tigers manager in more than a century to win three American pennants.


The Detroit Tigers announced this morning that Jim Leyland signed a one year contract

with the Tigers for the 2013 season. The Tigers this past season won their second AL championship in the 7 years that Leyland has been with the Tigers.

This afternoon Jim Leyland and Dave Dombrowski are going to address the media, but at separate times. Jim Leyland and the Detroit Tigers were able to attain three million fans at Comerica Park this season.

The Detroit Tigers and Jim look to make history in Detroit with the 2013 season.
