NCAA Referee Jailed After Joke
When he isn't making inappropicate jokes about bombs in airports Peter Friesema is a referee for the Western Collegiate Hockey Association and the Central Hockey League.
He shut down the airport for hours by just saying "what if my friends bag had a bomb in it". As a result of his quip, the airport was evacuated (!) until 3 a.m. and Friesema was charged with disorderly conduct.
Friesema was ordered to remain in Alaska by a judge on Sunday, this is probably going to but a damper on is hockey official carrer.
