Apple Unveils iPad Mini

Apple’s CEO Tim Cook unveils a smaller version of the iPad to keep customers interested in Apple and keep them from buying a competitor's tablet, like the tablets from Google and Microsoft.

The iPad Mini boasts a 7.9 inch screen which is a little smaller than the current iPad screen size now. The cost is $329-659 but Apple knows that that isn’t going to enough to draw consumers away from the cheapest competitors like Kindle and the BS Nook.

Cook is looking to widen the iPad market with more tablets. The thing is that even if the iPad was priced at $329 that won’t stop any consumer from buying a Kindle, because a Kindle is still only priced at $119. But Apple is not taking their foot off the gas they want a tablet that will compete with the others and they think the mini will do just that.
